My father had a 96 Dodge Caravan. He now has a 03 Durango. On both his vehicles when you locked/unlocked the doors with the keyless entry, the outside lighs would blink and the horn would sound. I now have a 99 Dakota with the keyless entry. When I lock/unlock the doors with my keyless entry only the horn sounds (on the lock part). Does the Dakota have the option for the lights also? If so how do I turn it on?
Thanks for any help.

Matt

I really see no point in having your lights flash when you lock and unlock your car, other than to wear them out quicker and possibly disturb those around you. I mean if you cant remember which car is yours in the parking lot, without looking for flashing lights, you probably shouldnt be driving in the first place......just my two cents though.

If you really have to have your lights flash and horn blare like a circus car every time you lock your car Ive seen a post on how you can. It involves playing with the key and the remote, your dealer should be able to tell you if you cant find it in the previous posts here.
