Message: okay so my husband's cousin came over and the two of them are fiddling with it...they both are used to VWs so I know they are confused...I try telling them all the things like not getting enough pressure from the fuel so the coil won't fire...but I think my lingo is off...I guess I'll just sit back and let the men be men and I'll stay barefoot in the kitchen~~~~~~~

Message: The real question is, being from hawaii, are you in Hawaii? Do you surf? YOur husband and his cousin? Then it should be no problem, it'll get fixed, that is if any of you ever surf, or sail catamarans!

Message: Well guys, I think that's it for the night...I just read your posts and went to go tell my husband and found him crashed out with the manual on his chest.....he suspects a ground wire since his cousin acted as ground when they did the spark test. He did check for corrosion under the fuse box by the battery and so far it looked okay...he'll check in the morn...he's getting frustrated. I can't blame him since he just fixed my Aerostar and troubleshooted like heck just to find out that it was the radiator cap that did not have a good seal and the battery would not hold the charge......he's at the point where he thinks his DAK is something as simple as that and his forehead is flat from beating his head on the pavement!!!!!!!! You guys are awesome! I'll look for you guys tomorrow and see if anyone has any ideas!

Message: I am not sure about the 95's but check and see if
your getting any fuel to the engine. If the fuel pump is in the tank and you run it dry there is a
good possibility you burnt out the fuel pump.
Spray a little gas in the air intake and see if the engine will kick over.

Message: I had a similar problem with my '93 taurus and '89 mustang gt. I know, I know their fords but I think that they all used similar battery connections around that time. Anyway, like you I went out and changed the battery, nothing, then the starter, nothing, then I simply twisted the connections a little and tightened them and it was fine. Most frustrating thing ever.

Message: Lj: A common problem on 1992-96 is a red feeder wire in the wiring harness about 6 to 8 inches down below the fuse box on the driver side of the engine compartment. Also a good idea to check all fuses with an ohm meter on continuity tester too.
