Message: It's ON and working! Wrapped up the install about 12:30 this afternoon. Then had to run around to graduation open houses. Washed the truck up tonight to knock the dust bunnies off. I'll snap a few pics tomorrow and update my website.
Seeeeeeeeeeee ya!

Message: It doesn't. The shaker comes with a K&N FIPK intake. 14" round element that fits on top of the throttle body inside the shaker scoop. I really liked the Stage II intake, but it had to go to make way for the shaker.

Message: Hey Blizz, how is the performance between the shaker vs. the Stage II? Are there any performance gains? Are there any problems with water getting into the intake? Dam I ask alot of questions! Thanks

Message: I haven't had a chance to truely test the perf gains (if any) of the shaker vs the Stage II. She seems to roar a bit louder than before, but I'll have to fire up the G-tech and see what it says.
As far as water goes, there are drain holes inside the shaker scoop before the filter to drain water away.
I think I could have sucked water through the underhood filter just as easy .... with the engine compartment being as open as it is there's quite a bit of moisture gets up there too.
But, time will tell. I know there's quite a few shakers running around that have been on awhile. Haven't heard any complaints from anyone yet!

Message: You have a sweet truck, I hope the shaker works out. I live in utah where we get loads of snow. I'm wondering if the shaker would get clogged or freeze up in a good winter storm.

Well, I'll let you know how it holds up over the winter. I'm up here in Michigan and we get our fair share of snow too!
I'd like to find some scraps of the Street Scene speed grill material (or something like that) and put over the shaker intake. I'm sure it would block a little air, but would also block some of that snow and stuff from getting in there. Being it's black on my truck, I'd expect the snow and stuff to melt off pretty quick ... but we shall see come winter!
