Message: Guys-
I did some investigating on tire rack and found some pretty positive reviews for the Dunlop Radial Rover A/T for all season highway tires. I really needed to ditch the stock Wrangler ST's since I am now driving 30+ miles on open country roads to work in Michigan, and the ST's were absolutely terrible in the wet and snow. Most of the reviews looked promising, especially for the price (on sale at sears for $63, a buck over the price online). ANyone have any experience with these tires, I found a couple of reviews of other 2wd Dakotas but would appreciate any comments/suggestions. Unless I hear some pretty detrimental stuff I plan on getting them tomorrow. Thnxs

Message: I had some 31x10.5 x 15" radial rover A/T's on my F-150 when i had it a while back. did great in snow, mud everything. only complaint i guess i would have would be the treadwear. i did mostly highway driving and i would have probably gotten about 3 (may 4 ) years out of them at aobut 6,000 miles a year.
the price is what attracted me to them also. aside from treadwear, which for the price i suppose isn't bad, i think they handled everything pretty well. Like i said, I live in Erie,PA (lake effect snow land) and snow/mud was never a problem.
i think you'll like them.

Message: My experience has been much like bman42's. The Radial Rover ATs I put on my 2000 2WD Dak are much better than the Goodyears that came on the truck. Both wet and dry traction are excellent, even in somewhat sandy conditions.
I have had them for about 15,000 miles, and I agree that treadwear is somewhat faster than other tires I have had on other trucks (BFG MT's on a '93 Toy 4x4), but they are still well worth the money.

Message: Thanks for the responses. I went ahead and got the Dunlops at Sears, they were on sale for $63 and I came away with 4 new tires with road hazard, valve stems, etc. for around $320. Even if the treadware is not so great it basically works out to half the price of many other tires out there so I think a little less wear will be acceptable. I am anxious for some snow and slush so i can see if my money was worth it, but it sounds like if my experience is like you guys I should have no problems.
