Message: any mods for the 5.7 Hemi as of yet that show results?? I see K&N has a replacement air filter already created (33-2247) I am going to be getting an 04 Durango hopefully with the Hemi around new years after the initial hype and demand dies down. I want the Limited with 3.92 gears (only $40) from the 3.55, 265 tires, 17x8 alloys (not chromed) etc. any other ideas?

Message: Make sure you get the LSD with those 3.92 gears. It's around $250, but well worth it.
As soon as it's available, reprogram the computer. I used the Hypertech on my 5.9 and it made a huge improvement. Well worth the money.
The drop in air filter won't add any power. Think twice before you shell out the bucks.
Before you spend buck on "power" parts, shop carefully. A lot of folks claim to make more power, but really don't. Cat back systems are a prime example. I've seen no dyno sheets that show they actually increase power any appreciable amount. Headers add more power, but also raise the torque curve. For a truck that's a bad thing.
Hot Rod or Car Craft magazine did a test on the R/T a few years back. They used only Mopar performance parts and did a dyno run before and after each change. The only thing that made more power was the cold air intake. Even the computer didn't make more appreciable power. The cat back system lost power. Interesting article if you can find it.

Message: Ok, I don't think the Big Horn edition will be on the new Generation Durango. Just on the Ram 1500.
