 Subject: 1991 Computer Problem

I have a 1991 Dakota V6 Manual out of Calif. The Computer took a dive and I don't seem to be able to find one. If someone has one for sale I am willing to pay a fair price.
On the other hand it may be the right time to change out this V6 and install a 360 or?
If anyone has experience with either, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks

Sorry, don't know about the interchange but you can find them at car-part.com, cheapest was $35. Got one for $90 for my 2000 to run while I was having my PCM flashed.

The PCM's weren't real picky as long as the basics were covered, i.e., sensors, it should work just fine. Just keep the engines and computers matched (V6 to V6, V8 to V8). This way you do not run into throttle body incompatabilities. Mopar Performance even offered the 360 controller/360 throttle body package as a hop-up for the 318 in pre-Magnum days.
