I just saw commercial on TV (which I don't watch often). The hemi Durango is due out 15 Nov. I expect the Dakota will not be far behind. I may have to take a little trip down to my local Dodge dealer.

As we all know the Dakota and Durango are built on the same platform, until now.
According to what I was reading in the newspaper today, DC has designed a seperate platform for the Durango, thus I am assuming that the 2005 Dakota that we are all anxiously awaiting will have its own platform and as such, may not have the hemi like DC has said in the past

Right, I read that somewhere, too. But the Hemis Durango due out in a couple weeks is the same platform as the current Dakota, which isn't due to change in the next year or two (as far as we know). The Hemi may not fit in the new Durango platform. But we know it will fit in the current and future Dakota. To me, it's a ray of hope.
