Subject: paint touch up IP: Logged
Message: I recently moved across the country, and i used bungee cords to hold down a tarp across the bed of my truck. There are a few rub marks from where the bungees were rubbing. It isn't to the metal so I'm hoping i can touch it up myself. Can anyone tell me how to match the paint, and what it takes to getting it looking good again. Maybe I could buff it out????

Message: You could try white polishing compound, but first try Finess-it (sic) from a body shop paint supply. It is a super-fine compound that won't scratch the clear coat, but remove surface imperfections. If your problem is real minor, try toothpaste first.
