Subject: Rear Drum Size

Message:
According to the Parts manual and the Service manual, there are two sizes of rear drums available on the 2001 Dak, 9" X 2.5" (BKE) heavy duty and 11" X 2" (BKA) standard.

I've looked at the applicability codes, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to which Dakota gets what size. It isn't clear that it is directly related any particular option.

Any ideas? If not, what size are your drum brakes and how is your DAK equipped?

I've got a 01, Quad, 4.7, 5spd, trailer towing, HD service, tire and handling pack, yadda, yadda.

I've got the 11", says so on my build sheet.

I thought it was either with the trailer towing group, or the tire and handling group.
