Subject: Sound system for an 01 CC
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 2001 4.7 Club Cab 4X4 on its way, and I'd like to put a system in it. I know there's not much room in the back, and I've heard something about MTX Thunderforms, or something of that nature. Any suggestions on how I can get the bass in there, without losing passenger space or tons of storage space? Oh, and without getting too pricey. Thanks.

Well, the thunderform would be the best way to go..If your looking for bass at a low price, I may have what your looking for...Im selling my homeade dropin cheap...It is basically a piece of plywood that I cut to fit the recess in the driverside rear storage tray...carpeted it and cut in a 8" JBL sub...not great but with the right amp it is most definitly an upgrade from the door speakers alone. Ill sell it for 50 bux plus shipping if your interested. The sub alone should be worth 50..One suggestion though....Fill the storage tray with polyfill..I did this and it made a world of difference

The Thunderform's probably the single most important upgrade that I did to my CC.

Ok, so you lose some of the storage under the seat.... there's still room for the jack, and the seats are still functional.

In return, though, you'll be rewarded with a PILE 'o bass, and being specifically designed for this truck, it looks like a factory option (more that one person has asked me if it came like that from Dodge).
