Subject: baby seat in a 00 CC Dak? IP: Logged
Message: Hi guys
I use to be a frequent visitor/poster on this board about a year ago. Anyhow my question is can you put a baby seat in the club cab of a 2000 dakota. I noticed the 03's have some sort of child belts that my 00 doesn't. thanks in advance for the help.

Message: yes, in back on the passenger side.
Might want to turn the air bag off if you have a passenger in the front seat.
Dont put the kid in the middle though.

Message: Kyle, why wouldn't you put the baby seat in the middle? This is the only way my baby seat (big)will fit in the back of my 00 CC. Will probaly protect the little one better from side impacts also. The only draw back I can see is if something were to come through the middle of the windshield.
Kixx4.7, there are bolt holes behind the back seat shoulder rest so you can secure the top tether of the baby seat. I noticed these and went to DC parts to find the anchor plate that bolts down, but they didn't list one, had to make one myself out of a peice of steel. With the top teather secured and the seat belt thghtened down the seat is realy secure.
