Hi Guys, I'm new here, found your board through a google search. Forums like this can be more helpful than going to the dealer.

My Problem: I have a 2000 Dakota 3.9L, 5 sp manual tranny, with 44K miles. The clutch is acting up. From time-to-time, fully depressing the pedal does not seem to disengage the clutch all the way. When this happens (it is intermittent) I can't get the truck into ear. In fact as I attempt to put the shift lever into first or rev, I can feel the truck move. Obvious things like clutch fluid has been checked and is OK. The truck can go for weeks w/o exhibiting the problem, then it comes back. Seems to be worse in cold weather. I am thinking a bad master or slave cylinder...?

I have been driving manuals for 25 years, so it is not operator error...

I am hoping someone else has seen this problem and fixed it. Thanks in advance

Does it 'honk' or squeak when you depress the pedal?
My '02 has had the hydraulic clutch controller and the clutch disk replaced so far, at like 14k/15k miles, I think. It's still not right, either, and still does what you describe.
