Message: OH NO!!!! NOT THE BUTTON!!!!!!!! Don't press the Button. I read about those things once. They are not good......Don't Do It!!! I heard that if you press it, your grill will grow one of those blue oval thingys and nothing in the truck will work right again. But, that was just hear-say - - - I can't vouch for it, so assume it is just a rumor. But none-the-less, don't press THE BUTTON.

Message: This is why I'm basically opposed to using buttons in trucks. Buttons lead to confusion, anarchy, and dissention amoungst the ranks of fellow truckers. Buttons are evil. I prefer that trucks use switches, knobs and levers instead. They are much more Trucker Friendly. Besides, buttons are just so - - girly (no offense intended to the women dak owners amoungst us). Buttons are bad. Switches, knobs and levers are good.

Message: Peppy, it could be possible that you have some sort of solenoid on the bypass valve. This could effectively give you a switch to turn boost on/off. Although the supercharger is spinning all the time, the boost is rerouted back through the supercharger until the vacuum level decreases and closes your bypass valve which allows the full boost to go to the engine. So yes, it is possible although it is likely controlling something else. It could also work in the reverse and prevent the bypass valve from closing which prevent ful boost which would effectively give you an "off" switch. Have someone that is good with electronics and cars take a look.
