Message: Each am I drive approx. 4 miles and my dakota
starts cutting out and back firing. 4-5 miles
further and it smooths out, and lasts for the remainder of the day.
A major tuneup did not help.
I heard about the coolant temperature sensor, and
this am, when the rough running started, I pulled
over and turned the motor off.
5 min. later. Started fine and ran fine.
But, this time the "CHECK ENGINE" light came on.
Any suggestions?
