Subject: Front bumpstops IP: Logged
Message: Hey, I was just wondering if anyone has any good tips for removing the front bumpstops off of a 99 CC. They're rivited in, and (as i'm sure you're aware) they decided to put them in this nice little recession, so you can't get to it with a grinder (basically that's all i have access to besides a drill). Does anyone have any clues?
Thanks
-Matt

Get the hell out of the thread if you don't have anything worthwhile to say. Freaking pre-pubescent punks.

Message: Drilling is the way to go. Start with a small bite and driil as close to center as you can. Then increase the bite size in steps till you get to about 5/16. Use a 3/8 bite just to get the head of the rivet off. You should be able to knock it off now. Good luck.
