Subject: Quick question... IP: Logged
Message: Hello, again...
Looking through the inventory of K&N accessories, I see they sell air filters which they claim can give +15 HP with the better air flow. Is this a true statement and is worth purchasing?
Regards,
David

Message: The plain filters will help but it is the intake system that will give you the 15 to 25 HP increase.

Message: I have a '87 Dakota 4x4, and have seen no difference AT ALL in my truck. Maybe I don't have the right Vehichle for this filter, but I noticed no change at all. Unless you get the FULL MONTE,(Intake, hood etc.) don't get the filter alone. Just my opinion.

Those ratings are "Up to 15HP". A simple filter replacement won't give you 15HP thats for sure.

Message: Yep. LOVE those quotes: "up to...", but they never seem to finish the sentence: "but as little as..."
