I have a 2001 Reg Cab W/O AC. Every time I shut off the truck and restart, it blows recirculated air. To get fresh air coming in I have to move the dash control all the way to the left then back to where I want the air to come out. Sometimes after I do this it goes back to recirulate a few mins later and I have to do the same thing. it will be ok then untill I shut the truck off and then I have to do the same thing. Has anyone else had this problem?

What you are going to have to do is bring your 01my Dakota to the dealer and ask them about the Technical Servis Bulletin #R24-05-1. They will have to replace the HVAC Control Head because of a software issue. I hope things go well, T.
