I posted a message about connecting aftermarket lights to the factory fog light wiring a while back. So, just thought I'd post an update.
I got my copy of the service manual earlier this week (best $100 I ever spent BTW) and it looks like the process will be very easy. All I should have to do is hook the lights up to the underhood PDC and ground out a pin off of the timer module.
I'll let you all know how it goes after I do it tomorrow.

Keep me posed on how you go about doing this. I will follow with it shortly. Got to get the lower front and rear bumper insert painted first though, that grey plastic just doesn't go with the rest of the 01 black QC 5.9.

Well, I got the lights mounted (Piaa 510s with the Piaa mounting brackets). If you use the Piaa brackets you need to go buy some 1/4" bolts. The 8mm ones that Piaa includes don't fit.
To my suprise, the connectors for the factory lights are already on my truck, So, I cut the ends off the Piaas, strip and tin the wires and plug them into the factory connectors. So far, so good. From here on it gets messy. According to the service manual, grounding a pin on the CTM will turn on the fogs if the parking lights are on. So, I tap into that line and ground it. After I popped two fuses I gave up. I'll need to look into the switch a bit closer.

I BOUGHT A '99 DODGE DAKOTA SLT EXTENDED CAB WITH FACTORY FOG LIGHTS? THEY DO NOT WORK? ALL THE FUSES SEEM TO BE OKAY? OBVIOUSLY THERE IS SOMETHING THAT MUST BE DONE FOR THEM TO WORK? IT IS GOING BACK TO THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM, BUT JUST FOR MY OWN PEACE OF MIND MAYBE?
