Well guys, I didnt post here much, but I've come to tell you that I wont be anymore. 2 months ago I made the grave mistake of buying a 1998 4 cyl. Dakota...need I say more. Not to mention the cat converter went bad 2 weeks later. Anyway, I finally got fed up and traded it in, and while I was looking for a more powerful Dak, I found a 99 V6 Toyota Prerunner and fell in love. Needless to say, I bought it. Sorry, but that 4 cyl. Dak ruined Dakotas for me. Plus the trade in value on it was only 4000. Anyway, just thought I'd share. Let that be a lesson to you all.

You could have at least test drove the one you bought first. Then come to a conclusion "Do I want it?". Also, the 318 5 speed was still offerd back then.
I was almost suckerd into buying one of those gutless 4 bangers myself just before I took it out on the road. When I brought it back. I just handed the owner the keys and then drove off.
