Subject: Re: 5.7L Hemi... IP: Logged
Message: Hey, has anyone out there, heard or seen a 5.7L Hemi in a Dakota??? I've got a 98 with the 3.9L and desperately want something with some more juice. If anyone knows where I can get a cheap 5.2 or 5.9 to drop in my truck that would be just as nice, but I'd really like to know if the Hemi will fit. HELP!!! Thanks.

Message: Yes, it'll fit. 440's will fit, a Hemi certainly will.

Message: I dont understand. For the price of the new Hemi you could build a really nice streetable 5.9 no problem. And it's make for your current engine compartment, some accessories, and possibly tranny.
That's actually got me considering a 5.9 swap into an older Durango.
