can anyone tell me if this Gen2 dakota V6 fuel
pump for $150 at autozone is the complete
unit?? My gas gauge doesnt work it just
bounces around and im asuming its the
sender? any help would be fantastic!

Take it back and get a new one. It doesn't work.
(How would we know if you have the correct pump? There isn't a picture and there are at least 2 different styles of fuel pumps for Gen II trucks. 92 and 93 had return fuel lines and 94-up do not.)

You may want to check the ground on your sending unit. When you said it bounces around that tells me that power is getting there but the ground may not be making good contact. I notice that your truck is 10 years old and has probably had it share of modifications by "mechanics".

I work at AutoZone (unfortunately) but I believe it is the whole unit that they sell for around a buck fifty. Actually, I'm not even sure if you can get just the pump form 'em.
