Message: I have a 93 with the same problem. Only it starts hard warm if left for over more than 15 min. I smell gas heavy when it starts. I hold my foot down to the floor to start it. Only way it will start. Iam thinking injectors. Will let you know if I find a fix. TP sensor did not help even though it was bad.

Message: There is a little temperature sensor on the top of the intake manifold in the front right corner. I had to replace one of those once on a '92 5.2. A bottle of STP concentrated injector cleaner in the gas tank may help.

Message: I notice that with mine as well. Not ten seconds but it takes about 2 seconds of cranking when its been sitting overnight. Anytime after that it starts instantly. It could just be that the fuel drains back away from the engine and it takes a second or two to build up pressure in the fuel system. Thats my guess and if thats the case, it doesnt bother me.

Message: What happens when you flip the key on and don't start the engine? When the key is turned on, it should power up the pump.
After the line is pressurized, do you still have the 2 second issue?

Message: Good point. I haven't tried that but I will. My guess is that it will work fine. Once it starts, even if for a minute, the next time is always very fast.

Message: I found my problem! The fuel pressure regulator was leaking gas into the intake through the vacuum hose. The diaphram ruptured. Now the truck starts great. I have 187,000 miles on this truck so that is not too bad. It is the first thing I had to replace on the engine.
