Hey guys, I didn't go out on the expressway yesterday, and I didn't try to see how fast my Dakota could go. another thing that didn't happen is that I didn't get it to 127MPH!!! And since all this stuff didn't happen, I'm not admitting any guilt. ;P

Uhhhh...people. I've "launched" my truck as well several times (with the Fabtech kit) and they fly just fine. Just get off the go-pedal a little bit when you're in the and you won't damage anything when you touch-down.
So now there's two "stupid people" on the list who have "Flown a Dakota". ;)

Heya guys,
Misato, I have pics of the touchdown too if you wanna see how close my wheels came to the fender. Bernd is absolutely correct as usual, let off the gas a tiny bit in the air, and nothing jerks on the ground... also it helped that I jumped it on gravel which is a bit slippery by nature. Shawn no axel straps at the moment, If I went higher and faster I might need them, that air was from only 25-27mph, but being a photograph frozen in time it looks more impressive :)
Oh Bernd, my friend Chris has a '94 4x2 ex-cab SLT Dak, he was jumping his there too! lotsa fun.

Apparently Mr. Balls doesn't know anything about the injectors on the Dodge's. Ford uses the same Siemens or Bosch injectors as Dodge (year and model depending). They're not made by Ford...just available from Ford Motorsports. (And they're less expensive and a matched set to boot!) :)
Keep on jumpin' the Dakota's...we know they can handle it...to a point. Although, if you go too high and you will bust something.

I have jumped my Dak too got all 4 wheels off the dgound on the street. Running high speed on a winding back road I know really well in the country (never any one on it that much) came arount one of the curves and there is a nice hill that launches you about a foot and a half off the gound landed nice and smooth with the 2/3 drop at 90 mph

how do u get the ground to drop so fast? In nevada, the ground drops fast when we test nukes.....
Seems it would be hard to maintain balance to take the picture with the ground dropping at such a high rate of speed......

Mike,
I never said that my truck was the fastest...but as compared to stock form (running high 16's low 17's) it's a decent improvement. And there's still more room for improvement. Sheeeit...there's plenty of V6's out there that are faster (and much lighter) than me.
It appears that you think we do this all the time (jumping bumps)...not so. It's something that's fun occasionally, but on a regular basis it will stress the factory components. Yes, I sell parts...but not suspension so that point is moot.
Bragging...Where? When? It's a bunch of mods that work very well together...most of it was trial, test, and tune.
As for putting fiberglass doors and such on the truck to hit 14's...not required. Nick Kramer already proved that with his 11-second Gen-III V6. (Totalled now due to an accident at the track...but was still the fastest street driven V6 Dakota.) Nice guy to talk with on the phone as well.

The truth is something you all can't handle...
I just changed the front and rear transaxle gear oil with super high-performance gear oil and put Dextron III inside my transfer case (whereas normally the manual says just put Dextron II in there)!!!!
My Isuzu Trooper is now in the enviable position of kicking y'all asses sideways, backwards, forwards, and diagonally! Grabbing air while jumping the cross bronx expressway is the type of 4X4 shit that you all will just back off of, biotchez!!!!!!
Don't even think of stepping to me when I put in fresh 5W30 motor oil in my 5 speed transmission. Such modifications are not meant for mere mortals...
