Message: Ok guys I posted here a while back on a prob. with my 1996 Dakota 4X4(5.2L) about the oil light coming on and my oil pressure dropping, I also heard what sounded like a ticking sound from under the hood. When i would stop or let off the gas oil pressure would slowly start rising but as soon as I started to accelerate again oil pressure would drop. I checked the dip stick it was fine and the oil was changed about 1,000 miles ago. The truck has only 35,000 miles, I'm the only one to ever drive the truck since i bought it with 0 miles on it, and it has been babbied. Now in the past 2weeks its has been to the dodge dealer for a few days and two other mechnics in the area and nobody can find any problems with it. Can anyone enlighten me on what the hell is wrong with my truck.
Thanks.

Message: When I first got my truck it had 65,000 on it. I had the oil changed and used Pennzoil 5W30 and a Pennzoil filter. Directly after I noticed that it took some time to get oil pressure. I noticed that someone said that oil filters manufactured by FRAM are not recommended, like Pennzoil. I now have to change my oil filter to another type. IF I continued to use this type I would soon lose oil pressure because the bearings would start to wear.
What type of oil/filter are you using?
As for high oil pressure, there is a restriction after the filter and and sending unit, or a stuck pressure releif valve.

Message: Well if your engine is low on oil pressure try some Lucas Oil Stabilizer. I've used it before and I can tell that it helps. I've also heard a lot of good things about it. It's not to expensive so i think that i would give it a try.
