I saw this on Ebay if anyone in interested. A Mopar cold air intake for the Dakota. Bidding starts at $50. Looks just like the K&N air intake. I would have bid on it but already have an intake. Here's the link.

I had spoken with K&N and they stated that they've seen 25HP at the rear wheels from the K&N Gen-II on a 5.9L Jeep Grand Cherokee and about 10HP (at the rear wheels) on a 5.2L Durango. (The reason for the higher gain on the Jeep is the airhat...it's very "squished" under the hood causing a big restriction. The Dakota/Durango airhats are taller and don't have that much of a restriction.)
$50 ain't bad though. If you have to pay more than $180...buy the K&N Gen-II from someone else. (It's the same thing anyway...K&N sells them to Mopar Performance and then Mopar puts their sticker on them.)

He must have been confused with gas additives. Arent those supposed to give you 30-40 HP just by pouring them in your gas tank? haha Just joking. anyone ever try Fuelon Power? what a joke. How about those Octane boosters, they claim 3-5 points boost in octane. they give exactly that.. 0.3 to 0.5 ... anyway Great chattin with yall

I realized the add was a little misleading but if it can be had for around $100, that's a pretty good deal. I wouldn't go over $150 for it.

Easy on the Octane Boosters....NOS (Offroad Formula) and ProBlend "Nitro Power" have shown decreses in e/t's by close to .3 in the 1/4 mile. Those two work...that "Turbo 108", "STP Octane Booster" and the other generic boosters don't work very well.

So much for that. I can't imagine what the reserve is. Why sell it on Ebay if the reserve is so High? Like I said before, I wouldn't go over $150 for it.
