dodge sucks, i had a dodge truck and it was the biggest piece of junk i have ever owened. I used to love dodge too. Also, the new dodge hemi 1500 is way over rated, coming from a dodge family my brother bought one, he didn't have it for more than a six months before he bought a ford f350 powerstroke deisel, and he said he will never buy another dodge, bc the hemi was a weak motor compared to all of the fords that he has owned. SO THIS SHOWS THAT DODGE SUCKS

I do happen to like the F-150 and also the new and improved version. Test drive one for your self. I think the Hemi 1500 could out run the 5.4 Triton on the dragstrip. But not up a hill with a trailer hooked up to it.
I gess those lazy Dodge engineers forgot to figure it takes low-end toruqe to get the load moving. Something a car engine can't do!

I'll take that bet. Ford done the right thing. Instead of putting of hi reving car engine under the hood of some big ugly truck. They decided to be a bit more traditional. Just drop in a more powerfull (improved) 5.4 with 3 valves per cyl. in a good looking form of fine art. Now it does fall 10 lb-ft shy of the 5.7. But you got 80% of that low end toruqe at just 1000 RPM's.

That new Triton engine is CRAZY.
They claim to reach 80% of it's total available torque at ONLY 1000 RPMS!
That's as goot as a deisel!
I'm kind of curious to see what that engine runs like. 3 Valves per cylinder and some sort of special spark plug.
The engineers are trying hard there days.
I like Ford and Dodge. Not really a Chevy guy but had plenty of them too.

How do u figure the Duramax diesel will pull the Dodge and Ford around. The Dodge has 555lb/ft of torque and the Ford has a few more than that. The Duramax isn't even close to that you moron.

Do any of you know what youre talking about when you start mouthing about saturns and hyundai? Pulling? Racing? These are all apples and oranges. Ive had a dakota r/t and a 4.7 5 speed.........the saturn and the hyundai running with either is a big stretch. Pulling? Of course a diesel is better. Racing? The Ford Lightning, didnt ford try to make that fast. Supercharging the engine with a supposedly 360 plus horsepower. The 5.7 Hemi is a nice engine that would run great in an r/t dakota and blow the doors off of any other brand truck...........maybe except for the srt 10 (which is dodge also) so why not face it? Dodge has a good engine. All of the big three have decent options too. If you like something else better buy it. Im buying the srt 8 dakota when it comes out cause I dont care if its practical or anything else, I like the feeling of burning the rubber off the tires. Whan can I say?

I have to applaud gen1dak on that one. Davee if your gonna dis anything based on a comparison of the two, you gotta make sure it's a somewhat equal comparison. Otherwise you end up sounding like an ignorant jackass which you certainly did. Thats like saying toyota sucks b/c a hemi ram will out pull thier 4 banger tacoma. My problem is not that you hate dodge, it's that you seem to hate dodge for all the wrong reasons. Whatever your real reasons are, which I'm sure you have some, next time write something better than your brothers big ass Ford 350 Diesel will out pull a gas powered hemi ram, and thats why dodge sucks. I really hoping you were just trying play with us by saying that, and that you really don't believe in it. As far as Im concered your a nuisance, and dont belong on this board. If you love Ford so much you can go get off on one of their chats and maybe meet some new friends that are as dumb as you seem to be.
