 Subject: no brake lights

I have no brake lights and i am scared to death that i am gonna get rearended. Like many others have mentioned the abs and "brake" lights stay on too, except for with the 96 sport the "brake" light dims when the e-brake isnt actually on. this problem happened about a week ago and i started pulling fuses. the first one i pulled and repalced wasnt bad but it did fix the problem. brake lights started working and the abs and "brake" light went off. But on my way to class they came back on. someone please help cus i am so afraid that i am gonna be buyin a new tailgate after i get rearended b/c of my lack of brake lights.

Hard for them to prove you had no tail lights before the wreck vs. the wreck causing the tail light failure :)

just to clarify i havent been rearended,........... yet. but it is just a matter of time since i am driving around without brake lights
