Message: Cummins makes a 3.9L inline 4 for agricultural applications. Its based on the 5.9L only with 2 cylinders chopped off (like dodges 3.9L and the 318) I was wondering if it would work in a dakota. It only makes 140hp but it makes over 350 ftlbs of torque. If its based off the 5.9L could it be bolted to a transmission out of a ram. My friends dad put an 8.3L in his D350 ram, I was wondering if it could go the other way. The 4 cyl.'s redline is set at 2500 though, so it would top out around 50 or 60, but it would be cool to see.
