Subject: Outside Temperature Gauge IP: Logged
Message: I've got an 01QC and the gauge is consistently 8-10 degrees high. Salesman said "they all have problems". I'm thinking if I spend $25K on a truck, it should work right.
Is anyone have trouble with theirs?
Thanks,
Jeff

Message: Mine seems to be alright. If the local bank's thermometer is right, that is!

Message: Same thing here. Mine is with +-2 degrees of the banks. Sounds like something may be wrong with yours. Does anyone know where the pickup is? Maybe it was installed improperly and is pulling hot air from the engine compartment or some where else warm.

Message: FWIW, somewhere in the manual is a reset process for the compass, try it, perhaps the temperature guage will start working...also try to the two finger reset of the overhead console itself.
Also interested in where the pickup for the above is, anyone know?

Message: Try looking on passenger side in front of the
radiator on the radiator bracket. You should
find a small button type piece of plastic? two
wires should plug into it. that is more than likely your temp. pickup.
