Subject: 2wd and WINTER TIRES?? IP: Logged
Message: Been looking into a set of winter tires and steelies.
I found a set of 4 15x6 steelies and 215/75/15 Wintermaster tires from tirerack.com.
Total cost shipped was around $384
Didnt seem to bad for a set of 4 with steelies, now this is for my 2000 V6 Auto 2WD standar cab short box.
Anyone have any recomondations of any brands? Traction ideas? I live in MN and was spoiled last 2 winters with a 4wd Silverado...I didnt have a big problem with my 1980 Lebaron few years ago..that was a 318 RWD coupe...but the subs and full size spare helped a bit! LOL

Message: I too live in Minnesota and my dad gets by just fine with the old mazda pickup, 2wd, open diff. We have Goodyear Wrangler AT/S and they seem to be working well, We also throw 3 bags (75lbs each) of sand in the back. And if you still are spinning all over, you probably shouldnt be on the road.
