Message: I have a 99 R/T and when I am hitting subtle pot hole bumps there is definetly something clunking as if there is play in something?? Is it ball joints or what else are they famous for?? I only have 28,000 Miles.

Message: I know what it is..and it is not ball-joints, my man! There are steel clips that put back pressure on the front break disc brake pucks and stop them from rattling. The problem is...that they are NOT made of stainless steel and corrode out..and therefore, snap/break. The pad's metal backing now rattles in the caliper when you go over a bump. If you give your front tires a good kick, you might be able to hear that sound (dull clunk) as a result. Go and have new pads put on, and that will end the sound. Oh...aftermarket pads are the way to go...as the Mopar ones come with those stupid clip/springs!!!
