Subject: Shocks for Leveled Dakota IP: Logged
Message: I need to buy new shocks for my Dakota Quad Cab because the stock ones are just shot. I installed new coil springs up front so my truck is leveled out and so I was wondering what my options were up front for new shocks since my front end sits almost 2" higher.
I wanted to go with Edelbrock IAS Performer Monotube shocks all the way around but Edelbrock said that it would not work up front because of the additional height, has anyone installed these on a leveled out Dak with any issues?
What shocks do you guys recommend for a leveled out 4x2 Dak? Most of my driving is going to be on the road with the bumpy dirt road every once in a while. I just want a nice ride with solid handling.
Mixing shocks an option? Different shocks up front that in the back? Any opinions, experiences, etc?
Thanks guys!
