i think they're 2" shorter than the stock r/t size 255/55
so maybe 26"

OK thanks guy! So then the 275 50 17's would be like stock then I take it? I didn't know that these would fit. I'd rather keep the same or as close to stock as possible. I lowered the truck to get rid of the wheel well gap and would be wasting my time if I got a lower profile tire.
Anyone know of some good tires in that size. I tried tire rack and they don't have any!

try www.tires.com for the Nitto in the 275/50-17
I think they sell Nitto.
plus they have free shipping.

go to www.domesticdisturbancela.com click on rides at the left. then click on Daniel. that's my truck i haver 245/45/17 on the front and 275/40/17 on the back. and they are alot shorter than a 255/55/17.

if your stock hieght or anything close to it you want 275/50. they are 27.8 inches tall, vs the stock 28"
275/40 are 25.6
