I just ordered a set of fog lights for my 2002 Dakota club cab V6. Does anyone know the easiest way to get the wire through the firewall? Also what is the best way to cutout the hole plugs in the bumper? Thanks

I used a nail with the wires taped to it to poke through the rubber in the firewall with the other wires.

Dremel or a sharp box cutter.

Thanks FourXfour--sounds like a sharp knife or utility knife should do the trick. Also thanks for the tip on feeding the wires through the firewall.

I just ran a set of lights this weekend. I ran my wires through the front drivers side fender and out to where the doors wiring harness is. Just above where the door harness enters the truck there are 2 gromets that are not being used. I ran the wires through one of them which places the wires inside the truck by the emergency brake. If this doesnt work for you I did a search the other day to find there is a gromet on the passenger side, from inside its up to the right side of this area, its hard to see but its there, once you see it you know what i mean..Good luck

Thanks Auggie. I got the lights mounted but need to finish up on the wiring. I will check out the locations you mentioned. They sure don't make things simple when it comes to working on your truck. Thanks again.
