Message: You ever look at your water pump?? grab your rad fan and see if you can move it back and forth at all, this may help to see if it's shot.

Message: Sounds like it could be a bad thermostat and is sticking shut not allowing coolant into motor. A little tough getting to it on some trucks but the good news is that it is less than $10.00 for a new one. It is also a good idea to wash you radiator fins out to make sure the airflow is not blocked. And I don't know what year model your truck is or mileage but if you have had it for a little while and never flushed the radiator and put in new anti-freeze, now would be a good time to do it. I just did mine with the new orange Havoline anti-freeze 100,000 mile stuff and I don't think you could overheat my truck with a torch.

Message: 90 per cent of the time its the thermostat. Don't put off the repair. You could blow a radiator hose, radiator, or warp your engine block.
