i was wondering if anyone has installed an aftermarket tachometer? is this hard to do? how do you wire it?

My friend put one on his truck. I think it is pretty much easy. Just connect One wire to the positive connection on the ignition coil and then another to battery. The tach should come with directions.

What about wiring a tach to a 4.7...since the ignition is different.

Don't all late model Dak's have a factory tach??? or did I miss something???? However Dirty D has it perfect for conventinal single coil systems. Multiple coil systems can be fooled to reading correctly ONLY if the coils feed 4 cyliders each, beyond that ask Bernd he might know.
