Message: i have a 2000 dakota with 2 wheel drive. i recently had it into the dealer for service. one of the things they worked on where the emergency brakes.since then the emergency brakes will not stop the truck if it is already rolling but will only prevent it from starting to roll. before the service they would stop the truck if it was moving. the guy at the dealer said that the way they work now is correct. but i have spoken to 3 other dealers and gotten 3 differant answers. does any one know the true answer.

Message: Do you mean PARKING brakes. I haven't seen EMERGENCY brakes since the 50's. The parking brake WILL NOT stop you in case of an emergency.
