Hey barry, check your gas cap. If it's loose or off the check engine light will come on.

Have '99 V-6 2WD Dakota.

Descriptions of Codes 15 and P0500 appear to be identical; under what conditions are the two different codes displayed?

My speedometer appears to be operating normally, but ECL is on and code 500 is obtained. What is the diagnosis?

Thanks, Bill
