Sorry, Jes, I wasn't aware it was against the law to not only flush, but drop the pan and install a new filter, or clean the screen, depending on the model of your trans.

BTW, why the sarcasm?

replying to trans and differentials generally not having a break in period. One of the long term test vehicles in one of the magazines that I subscride to had a diff failure while towing when near new. I want to say it was a Tundra or Titan. I can't be sure which mag or truck because my 3 year old caught the truck bug and steals all my mags, but prob. 4 wheeler or 4WOR. I had been dabating changing my fluid in my '03 Ram 3500/Cummmins (250 hp)/47RE(had dealer check VIN to be sure) 167,000 miles. I bought at 107,000. I tow a 8,000 lb. trailer 200 miles a day. Should i run it into the dirt or do a couple of complete fluid changes with filters in a short time frame? I apologize in advance if the debate gets hot.

You'd be suprised how much break-in debris
come out of a new diff or get stuck to a manual
transmission drain plug magnet after only 5K miles,

By now you all have heard about DC's lifetime
power train warrenty. You REALLY think DC will
ever stand behind it? Come on guys, we ALL know
the answer to that. Using ANY other tranny oil
except DC's ATF+4 is just one way DC will hose
you.

I gotta agree with NoSuchThing.

Yes, there more than likely are better products
out there BUT better pass them up.

Just my thoughts....
