Subject: 93 blower motor IP: Logged
Message: our blower motor ,fan, just went out while it was on, we don't have the owners manual showing location of fuses. we only found the 50 amp square one up in the motor area and its good. any ideas to check before we take the entire dash apart to access the blower unit? we hate this truck

Message: I'll bet the problem is the blower motor resistor located on the passenger side firewall. It is held by 2 screws and probably has an open circuit. These resistor blocks are $20-30 from a parts store or the dealer and are the most frequent problem with the blower motor.

Message: thank you mark green!!!!! your answer to our blower motor question was right on. part was only 11.10 at the dealer.there was no reference in the haynes manual about checking that, or when we called the dealer,so thanks again. we are new to this site, but will be keeping it in our favorites list for future questions or if we can offer any help to anyone else. thanks again!!!!
