Was told it was the sending unit. $75.00 plus
labor. I just fill up every 200 miles.

Message: My 93 did that for a while and has stopped completely for about a year. Last week, i finally brought it in. I told the mechanic the sending unit like everyone here has told me. He was convinced it was the gauge. He replaced the gauge. Still didn't work, so now he has it again.
I'll let you know when i get it back.
Everyone with an 88-96 dak needs to get in on the custom gauge group buy. We only need 13 more. www.speedhut.com

Message: I have a 95 318 and my gauge did that after 95k miles. I bought a bottle of chevron injector cleaner (22 gal treatment size) and dumped it in the tank. Believe it or not, the problem went away after about 90 miles of driving. Only cost me about 10 bucks. Problem has not returned.
