Subject: Fuse panel - what's the relay for?
IP: Logged

Message:
I'm STILL blowing the same fuse over and over. The circuit handles the front and rear running lights, the gauge cluster lights, the HVAC lights and the radio lights (radio still works). I can't seem to find any short in the wiring.

On the fuse panel, there's a 20a fuse for this circuit, and there's ALSO a small relay marked "park lamp relay".

Can anyone tell me what this relay does, and could it be causing the fuse to continually fry?

The relay is eactly what it says, its for the parking lights, if you remove it you will, not have any parking lights, it could be shorted internally, remove it and see if the fuse still blows, have you checked to see if you had any water in any of your lights.
