Message: As far as i know the orange is supposed to last longer than the green, sort of like regular oil vs synthetic. However i used it in a chevy beretta and had more leak's then a good nite at the bar. Or maybe chevy's just suck.

Message: sorry guys, i wanted to know when the green stopped being used (year) and when the orange became standard, and with what engines. as for the berreta, you cant mix orange and green with out problems. usually the green in an orange system is the worst...

Message: It's the same with Dodges. Putting green coolant in a system designed for orange is a bad thing. Different formulations. According to the owner's manual on my former 2002 3.9, the radiator itself requires the orange coolant...something to do with the metal it's made from or how it's alloyed. Putting the green stuff in there would screw up the cooling system components, or so it claimed.
