My 91 2WD Dakota came without a front torsion bar. Was it an option? What Dakotas came with front torsion bars?

Only 4x4's have torsion bars. They are our front springs. 2x4's have coil springs up front.

Maybe I used the wrong item description, I said torsion bar, maybe it should be front sway bar. My friend's 90 4cyl 2WD Dakota came with a front sway bar, mine doesn't have one. Why?

sway nar in the front is standard on '97 cc slt's but don't know about yours.
