You know that's funny. There's a guy locally here rolling around in a Dodge Avenger with R/T stickers all over it. I lined up at a light with him because I figured he must have done something to his rig but the thing had nothing. Go figure.

Had one dogging my bumper and pull up beside me at a light on a lonely hiway here in western PA. Nailed it, we were dead even for 200 yards. Not that I care ... I'd rather take him in a pulling contest or a mud bog .. :o) I just like how my truck sounds at WOT!!!!! And how it looks so sweet (even standing still). Much better than the Stratus R/T IMHO.

I have a Stratus R/T and my Dak.
my 95 Dak 4x4 V8/5-speed will spank my R/T, and my R/T raced a QC 4.7 4x4 Dak at the strip and spanked it.
My Strat R/T has won about 30 something trophies in shows vs. my Dak's 5-6 trophies.
It's a trade off.

and EBL, where have you been for the last 2 years? They have been out since '01 in theis country. Dodge of Mexico has made them since '95.

Yes they do exist,from 2001+ here in the US....I own a 2002 Stratus R/T coupe.
It has a 3.0 V6 that puts out 200HP oh 91+ gas.
Not too shabby when my/our V6 Daks only push out 175.
R/T's even come in Sedans, but those come with the 2.7, but still push out 200HP.

I drove a rental Stratus SXT with a sub-base engine made just for the SXT's and it was slow as a dog. I had to mash the petal just to drive in normal traffic and many times got beat by soccer moms with three kids in their mini vans. But since it was a rental, i made sure I had fun with it. So if you saw a powder blue Stratus SXT coupe in the northern Atlanta area with the engine whining but going nowhere, that was probably me.
The guys at the rental company called it a "sports car". Maybe but not with the hampster engine.

the SXT has a 4 cyl and yes they are slow, as are most rentals. The R/T is decent.
