What would my chances be against a 2004 SRT4 NEON, i have a 2002 rc rt with following mods 2400 mopar stall, m1 intake, msd, msd blaster coil, 180 stat, jba 8.5 plug wires, 1.7 harlen sharp roller rockers, kn air intake, spare tire removed, flap removed. Also what do you think my 1/4 mile time would be and what you think my hp/tq is

Does this Srt-4 have any mods? Stock our srt-4 ran a 14.3 I have seen tons of low 14 second runs from them and even some 13 sec runs from lightly modified srt's. A real low 14 sec run will kill a stock RT. I honestly dont see you taking him out with your mods especially on street tires. Your only hope is if he is a poor driver.

I saw one at San Antonio raceway about two weeks back,,,guy couldn't get his neon SRT into the 14's (running high 15's)- I'm hoping/thinking this is driver error. He ran two,,or three times, and then broke something his last time out at the 1/8 mi mark. Limped it back in. I wasn't too impressed.

seen a few srt-4's at the drags,mid to low 14's stock,seen a red one run 14.05 ,they have a lot of potential

What were the conditions humidity,temp,etc at this track? Bad conditions and a poor driver will kill a car like that.

It was pretty hot,,probably hovering close to 100 degrees,,but very dry. It may have been a number of factors against him,,but I know I would have stuck him in my truck, on that day, with that driver.
It was the "Clash of the Titans" Turbo mustang thingy.....They had quite a few Dodge dulley's cummins running LOW 12's - freak'n awesome trucks.

DODGE is developing for the better, so I won't bother going further.
As for the SRT....well......you'll probably get him off the launch...but those things have major top end. They run low to mid 14's with a decent driver. The guy you're gonna race has an 04?? Those just came out a few weeks ago, so maybe he'll be a little lacking since he hasn't broken his engine in...who knows....let us know what happens.

I went to thr track and saw two of those little neons both ran a 14.4. The coolest part was one had a few modifications and the other was bone stock, and the girl drove the bone stock one. Needless to say i was picking up chin from hitting the floor. She was hot too. damn should have gotten her number

The SRT-4 will waste you no offense because I love 5.9's, but the new 2004 runs a 13.9 1/4 mile from what I have seen and heard because my bro has one, plus you have a 4 speed auto, your car is sweet, but i say you got like a 1:75 chance.

You are complaing about a 14 ssecond dodge neon?? I am happy to see an american car stomping rice in their own playing field. I am sad the RT dak is gone and no hemi, but the alternative is the srt-8. How can you complain about that. And a topper find another Good old car that can compete with our new viper. It isnt gonna happen. Dodge is doing damn well. They could be like all the other companies and never realease any concepts. Like gm ss everything we arent gonna see caddy v16 my ass. At least dodge tries to make what they promise. O and if you a prob with srt-4 go ahead and give one a run and see what happens.

I recently just bought my dakota, and was seriously considering, buying the SRT 4, just for the mere fact that it was fast cheap car that would be awsome at the track, but then i would not be able to move my snowmobile and quad around so maybe if i become rich someday i will get it as a rice eater.
Im simple if its fast i like it, i dont care who made it, as long as i work on it
