Ok, I read all the posts about speed sensors and the ABS/Brake lights. Here's my problem. I have a 1990 Dakota, auto trans, 3.9 v6, 2wd. My speedo works fine, but my engine idles high and my ABS/Brake lights are on. I am getting a diagnostics code 15. Would that indicate a problem with the output speed sensor on the transmission, or the sensor over the differential? I have read on this board that the rear diff sensor wasn't used until later models, but there is one on the differential. The other problem is that no parts stores around here list either sensor and the Dodge dealership wants $125 for the tranny sensor and $80 for the diff sensor. That sounds extremely high for a part that all others claim to have gotten for $20 - $30.

Please help

Thanks Kris

I had a code 15. My abs light never when on, speedo worked fine. The only problem i had was NO overdrive. It was my speed sensor. Its a small part that ended up costing me 117$ from Napa here in canada. It was a small electrical short. i guess the part pulses a signal to the computer and when i changed i checked the part and that was the problem. Hope it helps. Btw, it only took 3 days to find the part and 5 minutes to install. Also my local Dodge dealership wanted 275$ for it. ouch.

Well, I'm going to the Dodge sealersihp up the road a little ways. They say that they have the part for $20.04. I have been having trouble finding parts for this truck all weekend! I was doing some much needed maintenance and, to make a looooong story shot, needed o-rings for the fuel injectors. I went to every parts store in town and none had them. They had no listing for the throttle body whatsoever. One guy even tried to sell me a pair of new injectors @ $150 each! I told him I only needed o-rings. I couldn't get them to understand me. I brought one injector with me everywhere. I told them that it is a BOSCH injector in a Holley throttle body. I didn't know, but I figured that somewhere, somehow, another make or model used the same throttle body or injectors, or at least some o-rings for some other injector could work. No luck. I went to Lowe's of all places and they had every size o-ring imaginable. My only fear is that they won't hold up for long in gasoline, but if they can get me to the dealership Monday for the right rings, I'll be happy. So far, so good. Man, I'm frustrated!
