Is there and internet site to download OBDII software for free?
Who sells a cable for the OBDII socket or are the parts avail to make it.
I want to connect to my PC so I can scan codes and reset.
Or is there an inexpensive scanner on the market?

There is already a free scanner built into our obdii trucks. Key on off on off on will bring up code in odometer; I've found checking the code also resets the light.

The " key on-off-on" doen not work for all models ..... i have a 99 and it will not work ....
