Message: go to www.carhoods.com and you might get a better deal, thats the only place ive found that has a cowl ind. hood for my 93.you can only get it over the net.Its 495.00 for mine, but once i get it finished and on the truck, all i have to do is send them a pic. and they send me 100.00 rebate.395.00 for a hood is cheap.theres shipping charges, but your going to have that unless you get one locally.

Message: I have the Suncoast Creations hood... You can save a few bucks by buying through www.elitecustoms.com. The heat extractors option works very well and is worth the money. Skip the "functional ram air" piece because all it does is route the air from the nostrils into your factory air system - if you have or want any type of aftermarket air intake system, the kit they give you won't be usable anymore.
My first hood arrived cracked, but they sent me a replacement immediately without any hassles at all - great customer service.

Message: I ran the group buy for the Suncoast hood this past spring. Each of the 5 people had problems with their hoods and Suncoast's customer service leaves much to be desired.
Also, if you go with this hood I STRONGLY recommend that you remove your stock springs in the hinges and use a prop rod to hold your hood up. The springs have too much tension for the fiberglass hood (no matter what Suncoast claims).

Message: MidnightDak, e-mail me and I will share some other info with you about SunCoast that may help you. I will also post some pics of my hood prop. Very easy to make one with some junkyard parts. There is also a Guy in North Carolina making a similar hood. The company is can be found at: http://www.fiberglass-hoods.com Their pricing is similar to SunCoast. I talked to the owner a while back and he said that they hand lay their hoods rather than using a chop gun which yields a stronger and more consistent thickness.
