Subject: Check Engine Light IP: Logged
Message: Hey Guys. I am a new owner of a 98 Dakota, my first Dodge. I got a couple of Punch Amps installed(one under each seat) and when I was leaving the stereo shop, my engine light came on. It looks as though the amp under the driver seat may be pinching a wire that looks to go to the seat or seatbelt. Does anyone know what that small patch of wires is for? Or if that wire was diconnected, would the light come on?Love the Forum and plan on joining the club! Thanks, T. Lloyd

Message: It's possible dude that may have pinched or severed a wire. As a owner of a 99 in the owners book it says if your gas cap is not secured (or tight) your check engine light will come on since my opening is on the left side I'm assuming you may (they) could have severed or pinched wires that go to your fill cap area just a hunch may help may not
